From the outside, most people tend to think working promotions is easy. When the reality is, there are a lot of moving parts! Two of the most important are 1) making sure you have all of the materials necessary to execute your promotion and 2) crating an attracting demo/promotional setup.
It has been scientifically proven that humans are attracted to symmetry, which is why so much time and effort goes into creating magnificent symmetrical displays that you see in retail stores. The same holds true for your promotions – whether on or off premise! An eye-catching demo table or promotional display attracts customers, leaves a lasting brand impression, and most importantly – drives sales!
When working on-premise events you should coordinate with the other team member you are working with a few days before to make sure you both have matching branded outfits and shoes that are as much alike as possible. If you weren’t given branded outfits to wear, try your best to coordinate your outfits, shoes, and “look” as much as possible. When you arrive to your promotion, make sure to set up a clean and clear branded area and that your tray is always free from spills.
The same holds true for off-premise events. If you have been provided a branded kit to use, make sure to have it prior to leaving your house for your promotion. Once you get there, set up your table in the way indicated in your booking confirmation. Make sure your bottle is chilling properly in an ice bath and that multiple bottles of product are displayed on the table to make it easy for customers to purchase. If you weren’t given a branded kit to work with, get creative with your bottle displays to make your table as attractive as possible. If you are promoting sangria for example, adding some fresh fruit to your table is a great idea to spice it up! For other products, placing an attractive floral display from the floral department is always a good too!
Creating eye-catching demo/promotional displays attracts consumers to your sampling area, creates a lasting impression, and most importantly drives sales for our clients! Thank you for all of your great work and we look forward to seeing photos of your next event!
